Mark Daniel ‘Stomp’ Acrylic

Mark is an artist from Cairns, whose exhibition ‘Cartoon Nostalgia’ was his first Townsville Exhibition. First exposed to comics as a child he was particularly influenced by artists like Uderzo (Asterix) and Herge (Tin Tin). Their style, called Ligne Claire (clear line) uses colour and line expressively. As a self-taught artist his art is about creating colourful characters inspired in part by nostalgia for the comics of his past.
