Heather Byrne is well known in North Queensland for her award winning pastel and watercolour paintings of birdlife. Her attention to detail is inspirational. Heather is largely self-taught, and began focussing on her art when she approached retirement. A true avian enthusiast she gives the same attention to the lowly Ibis as she does the show stoppers like rainbow lorikeets, in fact more so!
